Kuwait announced, on Monday, the detection of 3 cases of coronavirus among the returnees from Iran, while Bahrain said it had recorded the first infection with the coronavirus of a citizen who was in Iran.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health stated, according to the official Kuwait News Agency, "KUNA" that the tests carried out on those coming from the Iranian city of Mashhad showed that there are 3 cases bearing confirmed results of their infection with coronavirus.
"The first case of a Kuwaiti citizen is at the age of 53 and the second is a Saudi citizen at the age of 61," the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Health stressed that the health status of the infected so far was normal and they did not show any symptoms of the disease.
As for the third case, "it is not defined by nationality and reaches the age of (21 years), indicating that there were initial signs of symptoms of the disease, and that all three cases are under constant observation by the medical staff."
It emphasized that "the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the bodies and stakeholders in the country, has taken the necessary precautions necessary in accordance with the scientific recommendations and the conditions and standards approved by the World Health Organization."
Bahraini citizen infected
In Manama, the Bahraini Ministry of Health announced the registration of the first confirmed case of the coronavirus, also known as "Covid-19", according to the official Bahrain News Agency, "BNA".
The Bahraini health said that the infected is a Bahraininational who drove from Iran.
It pointed out that the citizen was suspected of infection, after symptoms of the virus appeared on him, noting that he was immediately transferred for treatment and isolation in the "Ibrahim Khalil Kanoo" health center in the Salmaniya district, in the capital, Manama.
And added that the necessary tests were conducted for the citizen to ensure that he was infected with the virus, and started applying the necessary procedures for treatment and taking the necessary measures for those who were mixed with the patient.
The Bahraini Ministry of Health stressed that it applies precautionary measures to prevent coronavirus, also known as "Covid-19", according to international standards recommended by the World Health Organization.
