Al-Maliki: Houthi militias falsify facts to raise public morale

The official spokesman for the Arab coalition forces, Turki Al-Maliki

The spokesman for the Alliance for The Support of Legitimacy in Yemen, Col. Turki Al-Maliki, said Friday that Iranian Houthi militias are falsifying the facts, in an attempt to raise the morale of their public, by claiming to target a Saudi oil facility.

Al-Maliki stressed in an interview with "Sky News Arabia" that the Houthis are falsifying the facts in order to raise the morale of their supporters, explaining that the frequency of attacks and violations of the Houthis is evidence of the continued smuggling of qualitative weapons from Iran.

The coalition spokesman said that Saudi defenses responded to Houthi missiles without causing any material or human damage, stressing that the Houthi militias do not want a political solution in Yemen.

Maliki considered the Houthi attacks a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a deliberate targeting of civilians.

He continued: "If the international community does not put the Iranian regime and the Revolutionary Guards under legal responsibility, in violation of international law and resolution 2231, Houthi will continue to launch its ballistic missiles as well as planes and booby-trapped bombs, in a threat to the security and safety of Yemenis, neighboring countries and the freedom of navigation and trade for global."

He stressed that the Arab coalition will continue to implement and implement all strict and strict measures, in accordance with international humanitarian law, in order to protect citizens and residents from such brutal attacks.
