The amazing benefits of "cherries" are not known to many

Study found that people who drank sour cherry juice showed cognitive developments, cherry fruit reduces oxidative stress and inflammation.

A recent study by researchers from the University of Delaware in the United States of America revealed the "amazing" benefits of cherries containing a range of biologically active compounds associated with many health benefits.

The study was based on a comparison of the cognitive abilities of people who drank cherry juice, and the abilities of others who took a placebo during the study period, and found a sudden improvement in multiple aspects of memory in the first group compared to the second.

Cherries are raw foods that experts call "super foods," because they contain a wide range of biologically active compounds, including polyphenols, associated with many health benefits.

Last year, scientists found that biologically active compounds in sour-taste cherries, including polyphenols, may cause a decrease in LDL cholesterol and blood pressure.

The study found that people who drank sour cherry juice showed cognitive developments, due to the vital activities in this fruit that reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.

These positive effects may improve blood flow to the brain, improving memory and making better decisions.

The study included 37 adults between the ages of 65 and 80. The researchers asked participants to drink a specific amount of cherry juice twice a day, one in the morning and the other at night.

The researchers assessed the cognitive and memory scores of the participants before and after the study, and monitored their daily calorie and activity levels.

After calculating other potential factors, the team of researchers found that participants who drank cherry juice were able to process information faster, developed decision-making skills, and were more satisfied with their ability to remember things.

Although this study is limited, additional research is needed to ensure that its results match in order to conclusively ascertain the validity of cherry benefits on memory and cognition.

However, the results of the study suggest that adding a little sweet-tasting cherry juice to the diet on a daily basis can help support healthy brain function, especially in the elderly.
