A huge explosion hits the Israeli city of Eilat

Local Hebrew media reported that an explosion occurred, yesterday evening, Thursday, in an eight-storey building in the Israeli city of Eilat, causing a large fire to break out in the building.

The Israeli website "CodeCode" said that fire engines rushed to control the fire, noting that there were stranded in the building, which was exposed to the explosion.

Last Tuesday, a huge explosion rocked the port of the Lebanese capital Beirut, leaving 137 dead, about 5,000 injured and hundreds missing, in an unlimited toll.

This came in addition to massive material damage to facilities, installations and homes, and the loss of 300,000 people.

On Thursday, the Central Bank of Lebanon froze the accounts of the President of Beirut Port, the Head of the Lebanese Customs Administration and five others after the capital's port explosion, according to a confidential document of the Central Bank's investigation committee.
