A new study has found that Birthday cake contains a huge number of bacteria, especially on its outer layer, for a simple reason.

A study by a team of researchers from Clemson University, South Carolina, found that blowing on the candles on the cake to turn it off spreads many bacteria on the outer layer of the dessert.

The researchers pointed out that saliva from blowing on the wax on the cakes increases the number of bacteria on their surface by 1,400 percent.

The researchers conducted the experiment with the aim of detecting different aspects of food safety, and for this purpose they decorated the cake with whipped cream, and then put some wax on it.

Prior to the blowing, the researchers had eaten pizza. They then inflated and then analyzed different samples of the cake.

The team found that puffing on the wax on the cake accelerated the growth of bacteria about 14 times more than usual, and in some cases this acceleration may be up to 120 times depending on the bacteria that people transmit.

Despite these findings, the researchers stressed that this does not mean that Birthday is not celebrated again, considering that eating the cake it has blown will not cause harm and harm in most cases.
