White House press secretary announced her infection with coronavirus

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany

On Monday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany announced that she was infected with the novel coronavirus, three days after US President Donald Trump was hospitalized.

"After undergoing daily checks since Thursday that showed that I did not have Covid-19, it was found on Monday that I had Covid-19 without feeling symptoms," McEnany wrote on Twitter, explaining that she had committed to quarantine.

There is debate about precautionary measures or failure to take precautions in the White House and among members of the Trump family in the face of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

And on Sunday, the President’s spokeswoman held a press conference abroad in the presence of journalists, without wearing a mask.
