A press report in Spain revealed that a Moroccan boy was killed by police officers inside a minors' center, in circumstances similar to the death of the African American citizen, George Floyd in the United States.
The widespread newspaper "El Pais" published a video clip showing that the boy who died last July in the city of Almeria, south of the European country, did not express violent resistance to the intervention of elements of the Spanish Civil Guard.
And a Spanish security officer appeared, putting his knee on the boy's back, for minutes, without removing it, which led to his death lying on his stomach above the bed.
The Spanish judiciary had concluded that the accident was accidental, that is, unintentionally, acquitting the guards who interfered, and added that the late descendant from the city of Tetouan, in northern Morocco, showed violent resistance.
Although there is a video clip documenting the 13-minute intervention, the Spanish authorities have not published it fully publicly, because it was included in the confidentiality.
The video includes two clips, each approximately six and a half minutes long, and shows the boy handcuffed while his feet were tightly tied inside a small room.
The newspaper, which viewed the video, reported that the dead boy did not show any resistance, when five security personnel and a guard from the center were holding him in the room.
The newspaper reported, that the boy was sharp in nature and had previously been held in two other centers, and was expected to be on trial for threatening a psychiatrist at the center.
The boy's family lodged an appeal against the Spanish court's decision, earlier, and expressed doubts that the late son had died as a result of expressing violent resistance.
