Continuing the series of Facebook scandals leaking user data, the giant company admitted, that about a hundred software developers were able to accidentally access the data of users subscribed to groups.

Although Facebook made several changes in April 2018 to strip developers of a feature that allowed them to access group information and access user data, 11 developers have been able to get some user names in the past 60 days. Their profile in illegal ways.

The company did not disclose any other information about leaks other than names, profile photos, and did not disclose the number of affected users.

"There is no evidence of misuse of this data obtained by the developers, '' said Constantinos Papameltildiades, director of Facebook platforms and software, stressing that the company will ask them to delete any data they hold about users and make sure that it is done accurately.

Facebook has faced many similar issues of data privacy and confidentiality, the largest of which was the Cambridge Analytica British political consultancy scandal, and has been admitted to accessing 87 million users without their permission.
