In a shocking scene that alarms millions of people working in "office" jobs, a recent study reveals what the bodies of employees will look like after 20 years of work.
The study created a doll that is exactly the size and shape of the average human being, and called it "Emma", explaining the health risks to employees sitting at their desks all the time.
Emma's back appears to be heavily curved as she sits on an office over the years, without a healthy seating position.
Emma's abdomen is also swollen, and she suffers from an dilation of veins due to poor blood flow, as well as dryness and redness in her eyes, resulting from constant staring at computer screens.
The report, entitled "Customer's Future Colleague", revealed that more than 90 per cent of UK office workers have work-related health problems.
"Unless we make drastic changes in our working lives, such as moving more, changing our sitting position, getting regular breaks to walk, or improving the area where we work, our offices will make us very sick," said William Higham, a behavior expert who led the study. As the British "Independent" website mentioned.
The study showed that 50 percent of workers in Britain already suffer from health problems associated with their work, 49 percent of them face eye pain, 49 percent suffer back pain, and 48 percent complain of headaches, as a direct result of their office work.
