False bomb report at airport. The reason is "flight attendant"

A Serbian man admitted he had sent a false phone call with a bomb at Belgrade airport because he was hoping to meet an air hostess, local media reported.

The 65-year-old told a court in Belgrade that he had met with a flight attendant from the German airline Lufthansa in Belgrade and wanted to date her.

After not finding her at the hotel where she was staying, he called Nikola Tesla International Airport in the Serbian capital and claimed a bomb on a Lufthansa plane.

Through this step, he sought to avoid leaving Belgrade.

The 130 passengers and five crew members were evacuated and had to wait several hours while a special police unit checked the plane before permission to leave was given to Frankfurt.

The police were able to reach the perpetrator after identifying the fixed line, which he used to make the call.

The court ordered the man to be detained for 30 days and will be charged with causing panic and disorder.
