The FBI arrests a wanted man after 50 years in Michigan.
The FBI in Pittsburgh has arrested a fugitive behind bars on charges of murder, after he fled nearly 50 years ago.
Defendant Leonard Moses, now 68, was convicted of taking part in throwing petrol bombs at a residence during the Pittsburgh riots in 1968 that erupted after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Michael Christman, an FBI agent, said Friday that he found Moses last month living in Grand Blanc, Michigan, as Paul Dickson, who had been working as a mobile pharmacist since at least 1999.
He was arrested on Thursday at his home. "Moses will now have to face justice for killing a woman during the riots of 1968," added Christman, who runs the Pittsburgh Bureau of Investigation.
According to the WJRT-TV report, Moses was also accused of theft and of killing a woman when he escaped from prison while attending his grandmother's funeral.
Christman also explained that the arrest took place without any problems.
